GENERAL FAMILY COUNSELLING

The program is intended to provide assessment & short term counselling and consultation.  It is also intended to link individuals and families with resources for more specialized counseling when necessary.

The program responds to individuals and families who may be experiencing difficulties due to the following problem areas:

- Stress/Anxiety/Coping Difficulties - Anger Management
- Marital Problems - Depression
- Separation/Divorce - Family/Parenting Issues
- Behavioral Difficulties/Child Management - Grief/Loss
- Post Traumatic Stress Counselling - Adult Children of Alcoholics
- Intergenerational Issues  

Counselling Hours:

Viking:  Tuesday from 11:30 – 8:30 p.m.

Holden:  2nd & 4th Tuesday of the Month from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.

Fee:

Residents within the Viking/Beaver FCSS service area will be charged according to a sliding fee scales.  Non-residents will be charged a flat fee of $35.00 per hour.
